Causes of the Arab - Israeli conflict
It is hard to take a neutral position because human being hasd always shown their point of view; for example, someone can affirm that the political heads from Israel and Palestine are guilty of the war, or they might say what is behind war is the power battle from other countries that have imposed their necessities without caring life, although those affirmations do not have any kind of argument.
Now underlining what is posed in the text "The two causes of Alzheimer (or Jew - Arab conflict)" The critic is so healthy to bring closer all decisive process to the truth. We can create a parallel and find that it is really hard to criticize without arguments although everyday people are doing.
Revising the conflict since it started we can find four causes which have initiated the conflict, these ar: the territorial occupation, the creation of the state of Israel, religious and cultural differences and Natural Resources are four large causes which have initiated the conflict.
Each group has reasons to defend its land, and then people who belong to a group would think that they have the motive to stay and would not leave by anyway. The conflict – Maxime Rodinson has declared – in consequence is showed essentially like the struggle of a town against a national territorial occupation by foreign. This author has clearly defined the main problem which has developed during centuries.
The creation of the state of Israel in 1948 was a complement to increase the dissatisfaction between Jews and Palestinians. Among the interests that motivated this success, we can find the intervention of Great Britain, who used its economic and military power to get a place were they could support to obtain its target.
Culture is the set of customs where the traditional life of a town is expressed; one of the main components of culture is religion. Those are two characteristics, that linked, have caused ideological clashes. There exist huge differences between Arabs and Israelis, so everyone supposedly has to respect the other, but is difficult to do so when someone is invading you using force. The other point of view would be why do you not return what is not yours.
Natural resources is the newest cause, it is the last one because it has occurred lately in comparison to the first one, and the most problematic that brings severe consequences, due to the location of Palestine considering rainy season is just four months per year, the water –the precious liquid- has become another fight that obviously would be used as a pretext, added to the three explained here before, to increase confrontation between Arabs and Palestinian.
According to a report from the Israel Bank, 37% of water from Israel and territories occupied come from the Jordan River and Tiberiade Lake. In Israel 75% of the total volume of water spent is used for agriculture while the remaining 25% is distributed between the urban and industrial supply. The organization for the human rights, B´Tselem says, each Israeli consumes on average six times more water than a Palestinian from Cisjordania. Nowadays, the Palestinian Authority declares that Israel diverts between 80% and 90% of hydraulic resources from the Palestinian territories occupied for its own use or the use of settlements that exist in those territories. Some authors have presented that in a not very distant future a war by the obtaining of the water would be free, but in the Middle East it has begin because of the unfair distribution of resources.
Finally, we are now in Colombia and do not have any matter if everybody die in Middle East, but that is a wrong concept because we are suffering a process of globalization then, if the war continues we would get a critic time were everybody is going to kill the other using as a basis that do not share skin-color even religion or language and we would be affected directly by this problem.
So it is necessary analyzing thoroughly the four causes and try to find and answer or solution to each one, in this way we would avoid a catastrophe in the future. The Arab-Israeli conflict continues and will keep on until the people get that knowledge to go on fighting will not carry to any place.
